Key Take Outs
· Search, talk, and ask questions. Its important in your search for what it is that you want to do in life, that you continue to search and never stop. At the same time keep asking questions and don’t be afraid to do so.
· Connect the dots. Finding your true calling in life sometimes requires you to simply join the dots of the past. What bought you happiness, what events have shaped your life, what experiences have you had and how has this made you, uniquely you. It is this value that the world can benefit from.
· Surround yourself with people who believe in you. People will bring you down and try to stop you from progressing, whether from a place of envy, or a place of love. On your journey to overcome this barrier you need to find those people that believe in you, and surround yourself with them.
· Give to find purpose. This is a cool thought! The idea that if you simply go out there and give, while being aligned with your passions and values, you may just discover your greater purpose in life.
· 6 Steps to Giving. Here they are in summary.
§ Find your passion.
§ Give your time.
§ Give to transparent organisations.
§ Find ways to integrate your interests and skill with the needs of others.
§ Be proactive not reactive.
§ Don’t just give to get back and also don’t feel guilty from not giving.
· Get the family involved and make it fun. Giving doesn’t need to be a solo mission it can involve friends and family and can also be a great way to share the importance of giving with children. Don’t make it a dreaded task, but rather a rewarding and fun activity.
· Giving- triggers happy chemicals. The helpers high, like the runners high, is why we can all benefit from more giving. Remember thought, it can be abused. To much can lead to passion fatigue, like to much of any of the good things in life.
· How to move away from passion fatigue.
§ Love yourself first.
§ Aim for hands on opportunities.
§ Learn to say ‘no’.
