Key Take Outs
- Experience matters. To really live and learn in life we need to experience it. We need to jump into all experiences with an open and positive perspective and when we do we will open up opportunities that take us on paths that we would have otherwise never encountered. True learning and belief comes from experience.
- Happiness in despair. What is the learning that I can receive from this? Ask yourself this question, even within despair, and see what positive you can take away. This may allow you to approach future times we a more positive, joyous attitude. What can be gained?
- Thoughts on fasting. In a world in which we are so accustomed to having everything at our finger tips it is so easy to become anxious or even depressed when we are without. Fasting is a practice to help us deal with such times. If you put yourself in a situation that is lacking, you will be able to learn lessons that would help you better manage the situation. These lessons can be used at other times. You will better connect with what really matters in life, develop a greater self-awareness and also be able more grateful for all that you have.
- Positive perspectives. If you can approach life with a positive perspective and attitude you may benefit from each moment in life more deeply. It creates openness to opportunities, more chance to receive great learnings, and greater awareness.
- Intuition should be used over logic to guide you in life. Does this feel right? A great question to ask when deciding on which direction to take next. Logic is filled with fear and self-doubt and is not always going to direct us on a path that is true to ourselves and life is about living your journey.

I think we all have intuitive feelings about ourselves, other human beings and living things. We tend to “color’ our experiences based on our upbringing, religion, and our past. Our fears and desires, whether based on our true selves, or on what has been “sold” to us can get in our way of true fulfillment. Bob’s talk helps us to see that it’s ok to experiment and not be afraid to talk about it. It’s uplifting to view the world through a magical lens. That’s the true definition of self control. We needn’t feel that we have to abide by other’s agendas or paths. The world would probably be a better place if we all marched to our own drummer. So many governments have claimed that this would cause chaos, but deep down, we all know it wouldn’t. John Lennon had it right all those years ago with his song “Imagine.” And kudos to Bob Munster for sharing his message!
Well said Elizabeth. I could agree more. I was thinking about the idea of conformity and its need to help control the masses and what effects would be had if indeed we all did follow our own path- would this cause more chaos or would it make the world a much richer place. I believe it would be the later. Thank for sharing.
