Key Take Outs
- Diversify your value. If you have value to offer, which I believe we all do, find ways to diversify your offerings. You may offer a service that provides value or a product that may complement the service. You may create something that is completely separate however still aligned with your expertness.
- Ayurveda Medicine. This looks at individual body types when it comes to searching for solutions to complement them. Your body type will directly affect what food, exercise and form of meditation you should adopt to lead a healthy life.
- The circadian rhythm. Are you a morning person or a night owl? The more I speak to people the more I believe that no matter what your current lifestyle people benefit more from rising and falling aligned with nature and the sun. Science apparently backs this up. Therefore, aim to get to bed by 10pm and rise at 6am.
- Sleeping is fundamental. Great sleeping has powerful affects on the mind, body and health. Make sure you work on improving your sleep and try things out that work better for you. Avoid eating 4 hours prior to sleep, aim for 7 to 9 hours a night, no screen time 1 hour prior to sleep. Bathing, oil messages and herbal teas can also assist.
- Healthy eating. This really depends on the individual and also the research that you choose to read. I have many insights and beliefs as it comes to diet but being that I am impatient and want things to be simple here is the best approach I find that works for me – do not eat processed foods.
- Mediation and yoga practice. Meditation calms your mind and in doing so allows you to deal with all that you face in life everyday. I found when starting out it almost immediately had effect. It really seems to ground me more allowing me to live more presently and I believe this is a key to finding more fulfilment and meaning in this life.
