    Key Take Outs

    • Conversations are the key. Sales are the results and too often the focus behind many businesses however it are the conversations that are key. This is action that needs to be focused on and measured – the rest will flow. When setting any goals this is the case – focus on the actions and getting them done and results will come.
    • Follow-up – laziness or fearful. Many people avoid conversation, follow-up and when they get an indirect “no” they end the chat. People are either afraid or lazy, or perhaps just don’t understand. If you want greater results you must continue to engage with the right intention – you don’t build great relationships in one conversation, you build them over time.
    • Thrive on feedback. No matter how much success you think you have always encourage feedback. Your ego may prevent this but it is so important to keep improving in life. It may not always be constructive or purposeful but for the times that it is, the value is greatly beneficial.
    • Reps, reps, reps.  The key to success is often doing the same thing over and over again – this includes the dumb and boring stuff. The difference between success and average is that average gives up in repetition. You have to persevere and persist.
    • Overcoming risk as an obstacle. This is hard to approach for everyone, I am sure. Taking risk is what brings you forward in great leaps. Staying comfortable will not. Yes, the larger the risk the greater the fall may be but on the flip side the greater the rewards can be. When you are absolute in your pursuit, back yourself, and take the risk necessary.
