The Brendon Show
Written by Leigh Martinuzzi
Brendon Burchard is a leading personal development coach. He is extremely motivational, personable, intimate, and often bursting with excitement and positivity. He is said to be in the top 100 most followed public figures in the world. Walking in circles with the likes of Oprah Winfrey, Bredon is one of the highest paid motivational speakers and hi-performance trainers in the world, said to have trained over 1.5 million students globally.
Previously Brendon’s podcast was known as The Charged Life, however not so long ago it was rebranded as The Brendon Show. The podcast takes us behind the scenes into the world of Brendon as he shares training, live motivational talks, tutorials and other adventures and lessons that he himself has learned over the course of his week. Brendon is almost perfectly matched to what I imagine a true motivational speaker should be like.
Each week The Brendon Show releases two episodes sharing both hi-performance training sessions and motivational rants from Brendon himself. Most are either taken from his live talks at seminars or his many inspiring presentations he conducts within his online courses and Academy’s. The episodes aren’t cluttered with ads, however, Brendon isn’t shy of giving his personal wears, courses, books and other bits and pieces a plug.
He is the creator of Experts Academy and High-Performance Academy that are designed to help members upskill in the areas of business, marketing, productivity, psychology and influence. I feel most of his podcasts are more a focus on personal development and life mastery.
At the core of Brendon’s work is his intent is to share a message on how each of us can live, love and matter more. Although he has travelled well beyond his days starting out the audience he is connecting with, based on what I’ve read and heard, are predominately those just starting out on their journey in search for how to live an extraordinary life.
It is the ultimate self-improvement podcast. How to find more love, improve finances, maintain some healthy level of growth and, well, remain motivated while continuing the search for some kind of deeper purpose. Of course, this is simply my take on it all.
Beyond all the fluff, hype and inspiration I am unsure how remarkable or truly effective his training and courses are having never subscribed to any of his course or attended his seminars. Nor am I sceptical or suggesting that he doesn’t have value to offer. I am probably just a tad uninterested.
Over the last couple of years, I have benefited from what Brendon delivers on his podcasts. I’ve even incorporated some of his cool, useful and innovative ideas and practices into my daily life. He has definitely kept me motivated and productive as I continue to progress towards my goals, dreams and desires.
I genuinely believe motivation has a hugely important role to play in the success of our life. Regardless of whether you aim to be the senior executive of a highly prestigious company, become the author of a book or find more meaning by living an extraordinary yet humble life.
Motivation is however like polish, it does wear thin. We have to keep plugging in to keep the charge. And, of course, if no action follows or in action, no noticeable results flow, we may start unplugging, disinterested and unconvinced. I suppose this is why joining one of Brendon’s courses or Academy’s might be beneficial – to help keep you plugged in.
Motivation is what keeps us inspired. It is the energy to wake up early and to help us climb over any obstacles we face. It is the boost we sometimes need to live our dreams despite our self-limiting beliefs. Taking action is what allows us to continue to do so.
Since reading one of Brendon’s earlier books years ago, The Motivation Manifesto, a book that suggests a key human motive in the pursuit of life is personal freedom, I have found his speech and use of words encouraging. A reason why I remain a subscriber of Brendon’s work. Although I admit, I can only handle so much at a time because I find it sometimes a little repetitive and Brendon sometimes over the top and unnecessarily enthusiastic.
The Brendon Show remains on my podcast playlist as a go-to source of inspiration, positivity and occasionally the odd tip, trick and practices to help me on my journey forward.
