“Most people overestimate what they can do in one year and underestimate what they can do in ten years.” Bill Gates
Discover your Hidden Why – Jump on the Discovery Call
In this episode I share with you a quick thought on why it’s important to dream big but don’t wipe yourself out by overestimating what you can do in a year. This expectation often dampens peoples efforts as they progress towards living a life that they desire. Not only can it dampen but it can also put end to people’s dreams.
From all the amazing guests I’ve had on the show one thing that seems very common is that their journey to success was 10 years plus. You might be just amazed with what you can achieve in your lifetime but don’t be so hard on yourself if you don’t achieve it all within the next year.
Enjoy my thought, be inspired, and please leave your thoughts below and share this with your network. Peace, passion and purpose.

A Question to Ask Yourself “What’s It All For”
I have been curious recently and asking myself this question, “what’s it all for.” Not so much in regards to what life is all about – I asked the question many years ago and now think I am on the right path. But rather why do I do some of the things I do.
Discover your Hidden Why – Jump on the Discovery Call
I came to the conclusion that I do it in the name of progression. That’s likely why many of us set ourselves challenges and goals. For those without ambition you may have given up in the pursuit of these things, my suggestion is get back on track.
Life is about progression and growth and if you are not growing you are not improving. We need to master ourselves in order to reach our full potential and sometimes that means pushing our boundaries to create deeper learnings. I think in chase of progression I truly find more meaning in life. I don’t always succeed but in overtime I fail and reflect deeply within I have a learning and that makes me just the little bit better each time.
It works for me, how about you?
Enjoy this ramble. I hope it inspires.

Summary
Dr. Raj Raghunathan studies the impact that people’s judgments and decisions have on their own happiness and fulfillment. Based on his research, he teaches a very successful course on Happiness around the world.
Fifteen years after getting his MBA, Raj Raghunathan spent some time with his old classmates. He noticed that though they’d all done well, there didn’t appear to be much correlation between their academic success and career success. What Raj found even more curious was the even smaller correlation between career success and what he calls life success. The greater the career success, the more unhappy, out of shape, harried and distracted his friends were.
If intelligence helps with decision-making, smart people should naturally make better life choices. So why are so many of the smartest, brightest, most successful people profoundly unhappy? This lead him to researching and writing, If Your So Smart, Why Aren’t You Happy? (more…)
Total Recall: My Unbelievably True Life Story
by Arnold Schwarzenegger
What a truly amazing life story. If you looked at Arnold’s life now without knowing his story you would not even begin to believe the journey he has taken to get there. This is why I love biographies of successful people, there is so much great insight, learnings and most of all inspiration. If you believe that what you dream is impossible, unreachable, then read this – you may just turn impossible into possible.
Arnold Schwarzenegger was born in Austria and as a kid had a fairly normal upbringing, at least for the time. Like any young boy he did boy things, tried to impress the girls, looked for adventure, sought passion to sink his teeth into and always looked for way to make a dime. Fast forward to today, Arnold has had an amazing array of success in life.
From the world champion and arguably the greatest bodybuilder of his time, to a number 1 action movie hero, and more recently Governor of California his achievements are none other than grand. They are not everyone’s dreams but none the less they are huge dreams achieved by a guy from a standard upbringing. Not to mention that majority of his success was made in America, a country he immigrated to at age 21 without limited knowledge of the language.
There is an over abundance of information that exists within the self-help industries and in general online. The successful say do this, the top 10 ways to be greater, the number 1 thing to do if you want more happiness. Here is my thought, like anything in life, you have to do what works for you.
There are timeless practices, behaviours and bits and pieces that may be beneficial to us all, I can accept this but to say that what works for me will be a fool proof plan for living the life you desire is rubbish.
Be open, curious and be willing to try things out but ultimately always do what works for you. Enjoy this thought and leave me your comments below.
If you are interested in finding more freedom, fulfilment and happiness in your life take the opportunity to jump on the Discovery Call. Valued at $250, this is a one on one coaching session to help you define your hidden why and discover the action steps to getting your there.
Choose Yourself!

James Altucher is a quirky dude. Operating under many tittles, Hedge Fund Manager, Entrepreneur, Venture Capitalist, Author and Podcaster, I appreciate him for his unique perspectives, ability to think outside the box and his way of vulnerable self-expression. With over 20 books under his belt, this is perhaps one of his more popular ones with a title that has a nice hook – who doesn’t want to choose themselves, be happy, make millions and live the dream?
Summary
After leaving his corporate job Nick immersed himself in the world of thought leadership in the areas of personal and spiritual growth, creative expression and inspired business and leadership. Initially he did this through his involvement with Alternatives at Saint James’s in Piccadilly where he got to meet and host many of the leading voices on the planet. Then he began to find his own voice and thought leadership through speaking, coaching and ultimately writing.
His thought leadership has been born out of his own personal experience, struggles and triumphs. As he has pioneered in his own life in the areas of work, success, power, inspiration, creativity, entrepreneurship, fear and now leadership, he has now written about what has worked for him. (more…)
We all put off following our dreams- fear of failure is a big reason for this. But if you could not fail what would you be doing in life?
I say dream big and keep your dreams alive. Don’t let yourself or anyone else tell you that your dreams are unrealistic or impossible to reach, including yourself. The dreams I have are epic.
The truth is that as we grow into our adult hood and fall into the rat wheel of life, chasing our tails just to keep our head above water yet inevitably just going around in circles, our dreams fade. We mustn’t let go of them. (more…)
