The Buddha in Me, The Buddha in You: A Handbook for Happiness
by David Hare
This book is another great book with insights into how to live with greater happiness. It shares the teachings and wisdom of Nichiren Buddhism coupled with a coach’s insight and philosophy on personal development. If you are looking to connect with your authentic truth, looking for greater purpose and meaning in life with techniques to assist you in unlocking your potential to live a full, rich and happy life – this book is well worth the read.
Not matter who you are or what you attempt to do in life we will all face challenges along the way. It is within the challenges that our greatest growth is achieved. When you are fronted with challenge persist and persevere. There is a way forward, there is a solution and when you discover that beliefs grow, lessons are learnt and transformation occurs.
Ryan Holliday has a great book called The Obstacle Is the Way: The Timeless Art of Turning Trials into Triumph
which talks in detail on this thought. You can read my review here.
If its not truly something you desire in life, if persisting isn’t absolutely important to you then perhaps in energy in facing the challenge is not necessary. Only you can decide on this at that point.
I also believe that those who pursue their dreams have more desirable challenges that those that don’t. If you are pursuing success or just trying to live a peaceful existence challenge is inevitable. If you challenge life, life will be less inclined to challenge you – on that note choose your challenges, don’t be challenged.
Enjoy my thought. Peace, passion and purpose.
